Create your own blown glassware
Glass bauble blowing and flame working courses
Welcome to Christopher Andre Glass, we have recently moved to a beautiful farm location in the Wiltshire countryside near Swindon.
A unique and memorable workshop for all occasions.

You will arrive at the studio at an agreed time and date, where you will decide what you would like to make - depending what you have booked in to do. We will then go through a small health and safety talk before getting straight into making your first piece.
After about 45 minutes your bauble will be ready to take home or there is the option to decorate your bauble further with glitter and feathers.
We are based at a working farm so please be mindful whilst you are with us. We recommend wearing wellies or walking boots as it can get very muddy. Children under 12 should be supervised by an adult at all times.

Please give us a call or email for more information, or to make a booking.
Origins
I was born in Cape Town, South Africa in 1982. At five years old my family emigrated to England, eventually settling in the Cotswolds where I spent most of my childhood. After completing my A-Levels at Cokethorpe School, I spent a year working and travelling in Australia. On returning to the UK - not knowing what I wanted to do - I found myself working for the council as a gardener. I’d struggled at school with Dyslexia so never thought I could go to University, but I had always loved Art.
After a lot of encouragement to continue my Art from friends and family, and subsequently a day trip to London - where I was blown away by a Dale Chihuly chandelier at the V&A - my love for glass began.
After completing my BA Hons Degree in Glass Design at Wolverhampton University in 2007 I moved to Poole, where I spent a year studying Hot Glass Techniques with Rob Marshal at Bournemouth and Poole College.
I then spent the next few years working in various hot shops and studios assisting and learning a variety of processes from glass blowing and sand casting, to lamp working. One of my fondest memories was a summer I spent in Ludlow, assisting Amanda Brisbane, sand casting impressive giant clams and drinking the nights away. She inspired and helped me see that if you work hard and enjoy what you do, you can achieve anything.
In 2019 I met Steve Baker and Angela Payne who were looking to start a new business focussing on teaching glass blowing - ‘Chew Valley Glass’. After four years working alongside Steve, teaching hot glass and lampworking courses, I am currently relocating to a new workshop in Wiltshire.
